Why Rimi

RIMI is an indigenous missions organization – Indians reaching South Asia with the partnership of God’s people from everywhere.

Our goal is to spiritually help people, especially those who are in South Asia.

Our model is to raise up indigenous leaders who will bring the good news to their own people. This is much more effective because they are familiar with the language and culture and more financially effective.

Here are a few features of our ministry:

  • Passion for Sustainability: For the field staff that we support, we only raise 50% of their financial need and require them to raise the other 50% themselves. We wean them off of full support within 5-7 years in order to build independent, self supporting communities. Even after they have been weaned off of support they stay under our umbrella of authority for continued leadership development and accountability purposes.
  • Passion for Transformation: Our Mercy Homes extend help to any child that has a need – not just to orphans. Many of these children would be sold into slavery or prostitution if they did not have the option of coming to our Mercy Homes. When our children finish high school, we do not put them out into the streets. We encourage them to go to college and we help pay for their education as well.
  • Passion for Meaningful Partnership: We allow and encourage partners to communicate through our office with those that they are sponsoring. They can also personally visit them in the field. Your communication means so much to the people since they rarely experience loving and caring people who love them for who they are and without expecting anything in return. You will also be blessed by their testimonies as they share how they found new joy in the Lord and how He has been using them for His kingdom work.

Financial Responsibility

RIMI is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability®. The ECFA is an independent organization who does continual remote and onsite audits of ministries to make sure that they are doing what they say they are doing and that they are conducting themselves in accordance with the relevant financial standards and governmental laws.

As per the ECFA guidelines, we perfrom a review, compilation, or audit every fiscal year and file a 990, both of which are available upon request.
