Never Forsaken

March 12, 2020 By Mickie O'Donnell

Imagine growing up with a father and mother who loved Jesus and had a powerful ministry, but suddenly it all came all crumpling through death and unrepentant sin. This is what happened to these sisters, Salvina and Martina.

They were born to a Roman Catholic father and a Hindu mother in Delhi.  When their parents became came to Christ, their father had a powerful ministry.  After a while, their mother became very ill and he left the ministry to care for her.  Three times she died in the hospital, but the daughters would pray over her and she came back to life.

During one of those times, she prophesied over her daughters saying they were going to be used by God and should go for Biblical studies. They came to MITS.  But something heartbreaking happened to their father.  During his wife’s illness he became involved with a married woman, and after the mother’s death, this woman moved in with him.  She did not divorce her husband.  She tells the girls that it is God’s will for her have two husbands and uses Old Testament Scripture and current Indian culture to support this idea.

Salvina and Martina have been strong women for God and have spoken Biblical truth to their family but because of their father’s relationship, he no longer supports them.  They are basically orphans now trying to do what is right without any support.  They pray for their father but feel betrayed by the trust he has broken.  At age 23 and 21, these sisters have experienced already an amazing journey. We are blessed to have them at MITS.

Please pray for their studies and that their father will repent and return to God.
